What makes an artist different is his ability to perceive things inversely and exhibit it as no one has ever thought. It has been quite evident that only those artists are remembered who have experimented with their skills and have broken the barrier of traditional art culture. Marko Stout is one such critically acclaimed artist from New York who has taken creativity to a whole new level. He is often regarded as the coolest and most relevant multimedia artist present today. He has become the icon of industrial pop style which is often accompanied by a mesmerizing unconventional story.

Marko Stout is an expert at showcasing older style and movement like the pop movement of the 1960s. It is actually quite fascinating how Marko Stout does it because he has not only maintained a creative approach in his art but has also explored the commercial side of commerce and celebrities. Marko has garnered a lot of praise for reinventing the pop style. He has been able to reveal the darker side of the urban life yet maintaining a very thin line between defining something in a creative way rather than abusing the people’s perception.

The best thing about Marko Stout is that he never shies away from saying his thoughts out and loud. Many people may not like him but Marko Stout is surely riding on huge waves of success through his outstanding work. His artistic approach doesn’t just limit to pop style but his work is spread across different media like print, video, film, painting, and photography. Besides focusing on New York City and urban life, Marko keeps on experimenting with different styles.

Marko is known for using vibrant colors in his art. You can think about why there is a need for an artist to use vibrant colors. Well, Marko is different in his approach because he uses vibrant colors and infuses them with his passion to showcase erotic and titillating through his art. His portraits series “Erotic Allure” is a perfect example of sensuousness blended with fineness. His print series “Chelsea Girls” is often regarded as loud and empowering. The theme of “Chelsea Girls” puts women first. It is quite amazing how he experimented with colors and styles to exhibit portraits of sensual yet fierce women.

Not many people know that before becoming an extraordinary artist, Marko Stout was a doctor. His stint as a freelance medical illustrator did not last long and he moved to California. He got inspired by his neighbor in Sausalito where he lived in a houseboat community. Marko never backs down from giving credit to his neighbor who taught him everything about the theory and technique. After getting enough knowledge from his neighbor, Marko moved back to New York and the rest is history.

Marko’s work is a very fine example of how an artist can inject a fine-tuned twist of cultural conventions. In many of his interviews, he has bluntly said:

“I don’t like classifications because they seem too limiting”.

Instead of focusing on cartoons and silly themes in his work Marko has an inclination toward deeper issues of survival in the city and life in general.
