Betting info:Odds, moneyline and more
What to know: Georgia is looking for a crisper outing this week than last, particularly in the red zone, and wants more explosive runs from their running backs. The Bulldogs could be without wideout AD Mitchell, nickel Javon Bullard and defensive tackle Jalen Carter. — Marc Weiszer, Athens Banner-Herald
Kickoff: 3:30 p.m.
TV: CBS
Betting info:Odds, moneyline and more
What to know: Alabama’s run defense has been good, but it hasn’t faced a test like this one yet. The Razorbacks feature Raheim “Rocket” Sanders, whose 127 rushing yards per game is fourth-best in the nation. Plus, KJ Jefferson is a dual-threat quarterback. Arkansas has the country’s ninth-best rushing attack. — Nick Kelly, Tuscaloosa News
Kickoff: 3:30 p.m.
TV: Big Ten Network
Betting info: Odds, moneyline and more
What to know: While Rutgers brings the Big Ten’s highest-ranked rush defense to Columbus, its pass defense has been more susceptible. It gives up an average of 6.8 yards per pass attempt, ranking ninth out of the 14 teams in the conference and should lead quarterback C.J. Stroud to spot enough holes in the Scarlet Knights’ secondary. Stroud is clicking. He’s thrown for 16 touchdowns over four games, more than any other passer in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Ohio State should look to keep stretching the field. — Joey Kaufman, Columbus Dispatch

Briefly: J.J. McCarthy threw for 155 yards and a touchdown and Blake Corum added 133 yards rushing and a late score as the Wolverines held off an Iowa rally in breaking a four-game losing streak in Iowa City. Michigan’s defense had four sacks and held Iowa to its fourth game with under 300 total yards.
One highlight to know: Ronnie Bell takes it in on the end around for the Wolverines.

TV: ABC

What to know: This game will feature two of the ACC’s premier quarterbacks in Clemson’s DJ Uiagalelei and NC State’s Devin Leary, which could lead to quite a show, weather permitting. In 2022, Uiagalelei has 10 touchdowns against only one interception. He’s also coming off a 371-yard, five-touchdown game at Wake Forest. Leary isn’t quite the running threat that Uiagalelei has become, but last year broke Philip Rivers’ school record with 35 touchdown passes, including four in a double-overtime win against Clemson. — Scott Keepfer, Greenville News
Kickoff: 10:30 p.m.
TV: ESPN
Betting info:Odds, moneyline and more
What to know: Quarterback Caleb Williams and No. 6 USC had to scratch out a 17-14 win against Oregon State after experiencing no difficulty against an easy non-conference slate. While Williams completed under 50% of his throws, he did lead the Trojans on an 84-yard drive in the final minutes for the game-winning score. — Paul Myerberg, USA TODAY
Kickoff: 3:30 p.m.
TV: Fox

What to know: There is perhaps no more important player in this game than OSU’s dual-threat leader, quarterback Spencer Sanders. Last year’s struggles against Baylor are well documented — primarily the seven interceptions in two games. But through three games, this appears to be the best version of Sanders we’ve seen. Since that four-pick day against Baylor in December, he’s actually been phenomenal, a trend that if it continues Saturday will carry OSU. — Jacob Unruh, The Oklahoman
Briefly: Will Levis was sacked and lost the ball with 51 seconds left, and Ole Miss recovered to hold on for a key SEC victory. After Kentucky tied it at 19-19 with 6 minutes left in the third quarter, Jonathan Cruz kicked a 26 yard field goal for the Rebels less than four minutes later, and the defense shut down the Wildcats in the final quarter with two turnovers.
One highlight to know: Zach Evans opens the scoring for Ole Miss with a four-yard touchdown run.

What to know: Penn State should be able to blast off to a big lead early, especially leading on their rotating rookie running backs, Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen. And that’s where the potential good of this kind of day shows itself. If the Lions can take advantage. — Frank Bodani, York Daily Record

Briefly: TCU scored four touchdowns on plays of 60 yards or longer in blowing away the Sooners. The Horned Frogs had 41 points and 479 yards of offense in the first half to essentially end the game before intermission. Max Duggan threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns and added 112 yard and two scores on the ground in dealing the Sooners a second los ii
One highlight to know: TCU receiver Taye Barber is somehow left wide open on a 73-yard pass play from Max Duggan.

What to know: The Aggies will be without leading receiver Ainias Smith for the remainder of the season after he suffered a lower body injury in last week’s loss against No. 19 Arkansas. The emphasis on slowing down running back Devon Achane only increases. Achane is fifth in the SEC with 355 rushing yards on 65 attempts (5.5 per rush). — Stefan Krajisnik, Clarion Ledger

What to know: Florida State head coach Mike Norvell compared Wake Forest’s offense to another unique scheme that requires defenses to extensively prepare for it: The triple option. Dubbed as the “slow mesh,” Wake Forest’s offense features a delayed run-pass option look that can be difficult to defend. Having to defend such an unpredictable play is only part of the challenge. Add in talented players like quarterback Sam Hartman and wide receiver A.T. Perry, and Wake Forest has quite the vaunted offense overall. — Carter Karels, Tallahassee Democrat
Briefly: Devin Mockobee ran for 112 yards, including a 68-yard run late in the fourth quarter and scored on a short run on the next play as Purdue stunned the Golden Gophers on homecoming in Minneapolis in a turnover-filled game.
One highlight to watch: Mockobee sets up the clinching touchdown with a long run.

What to know: This week’s home date with FCS member Wagner is followed by an open week, so the Orange will almost certainly be 5-0 on Oct. 15. But that’s when an extremely difficult six-game stretch begins, starting at home against North Carolina State followed immediately by a trip to Clemson. — Eddie Timanus, USA TODAY
