This 45-Year-Old Man Pays $2 Million a Year for Surgery Just to be 18 Again

Who needs a time machine when you can stay in your 40s but still an 18-year-old physically?

This is certainly the case for 45-year-old Bryan Jonhson, who has the heart of a 37-year-old and the physical fitness and lung capacity of an 18-year-old boy. Johnson did not need any time machine this but through spending $2 million a year for surgery.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Somenek examines the face of his patient Hudson Young, 52, who had a lower face and neck lift, an upper and lower eyelid surgery and laser resurfacing done in October 2020, in Dr. Someneks clinic in Washington, DC on February 22, 2021.

How Johnson Stays Young

Back when he was still a software programmer, Bloomberg reports that Johnson founded a highly successful payment processing business. Long hours and additional stress from working to keep the business competitive led to his weight gain and depression.

Hence, he had to sell his business to eBay in 2013 for around $800 million and focused on making his health wealthier instead.

His passion for understanding how his biology works led to the creation of a firm called Kernel that measures brain activity using helmets. To find a means to age backward, he collaborated with King’s College London medical graduate Oliver Zolman.

Zolman is currently modifying Johnson’s diet and physical activity in accordance with his vital signs, which are continuously monitored, along with a team of 30 additional doctors.

Johnson starts his day at five in the morning with a dose of zinc, lycopene, metformin, and a microdose of lithium for his brain.

He follows a tight diet of 1,977 calories per day from vegan food and exercises for an additional hour with three high-intensity workouts planned each week.

He also adheres to a fixed sleep schedule after putting on blue-light-blocking spectacles for two hours before going to bed.

Johnson regularly assesses his weight, BMI, and body fat, as well as his blood sugar, heart rate variability, and oxygen saturation levels to maintain his youthful physical health.

37 at Heart, 18-Year Old in Skin

With the use of numerous measures, Zolman and his team have determined that Johnson has a heart that is 37 years old and 28-year-old skin. He is physically fit for an 18-year-old, and his gum inflammation is consistent with a 17-year-old.

Johnson is not yet done with what he has accomplished thus far. Despite spending $2 million annually on his routine, he still intends to push this further until he reaches an overall body age of an 18-year-old throughout his body organs.

In addition, Johnson receives several fat injections in his face as part of a procedure to create a scaffolding of young people’s fat cells.

When applied all over the body, they not only give a person a younger appearance but also a system for producing less toxic compounds and improved heat control.

Johnson also intends to undertake gene therapies in the future, subjecting his body to more procedures just to be younger again.
