SINGAPORE — Singapore and Hong Kong have as soon as again pushed again the beginning date of a long-anticipated air travel bubble association, the 2 cities introduced Monday.

The travel bubble, which might have allowed vacationers to skip quarantine, had been deliberate to start on May 26. The scheme has confronted a number of rounds of delays from its preliminary launch date in November 2020.

Singapore’s transport ministry stated in a press release that “in light of the recent increase in unlinked community cases, Singapore is unable to meet the criteria to start” the travel bubble.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong authorities stated in a press release that additional updates will likely be introduced on or earlier than June 13.
